TOAST enjoys an exciting partnership with the Bank Street Business Improvement Association hosting their first annual “Bank Street Zombie Invasion“. Over 100 Zombies crawled around Bank Street on Halloween as part of a social marketing event to entice locals to eat more, shop more, in the downtown Bank Street area. Zombies “bit” pedestrians by providing a special bar code which, when scanned could win a grand prize of $500, $1,000 and $1,500 worth of gift cards for the downtown core. Hot 89.9 broadcast live to entice Hotties to participate. Special guests, Mayor Jim Watson, and Andrea Horvath, to name a few dropped by for a scare and a break-out FLASH MOB. The Zombie Invasion was “picked up” and publicized on every local news station from 6:30am until 11pm including CBC.
Wall Street Journal credits Algonquin College for the 1$ Millon Dollar Pledge for Children’s Wish Foundation. Elise is currently mentoring these students as they plan their charity events.
